  1. I lost the partucular xp home install disk and reinstalled the os from
another pc about the same age , when I went to change the product key
to the proper one, I get a error.

once again, no one actually answered someones question, just a bunch of
potty mouths ragging on each other, this is the helpdesk newsgroup isnt it?

  7. Trying to provide a clue to a clueless poster *is* helping. Whether or
not he learns from it is up to him. Whether not *you* learn from this,
    is up to you.

  9. I don't think calling him clueless, since he was posting cluelessly,
was mindless. And I think the thread contains the clue about posting a
reply *to whom one is replying* in more than one place.

While it seems no one else understands your problem and would rather harass
each other about "cluelessness" and such crap, I want to say I have
    experienced the same problem.

I've tried to do the same with the Keyfinder. The replace function did not
    work for me.

Did the MS activation fail with the first CD-Key you used? If it activated,
    I'd say ignore it.

If it didn't activate, you may end up having to get MS on the phone and they
can help you. I've done that too. Boring, but it works. You will simply need
to explain to them that you had to re-install the OS and that activation is
    not working.

Foul tick lesion with apple extract accentuated by seared ears of corn and
chameleon belly seasoning, cooked in a congealing mug heaped with
specialised bits of dessicated fungus and scraps of acorn in tea, a side of
chips and a glass of syphilis tea.

    Lunch was nice;

Polluted elephant tripe with lemon dressing accentuated with hideous gold
fish pustule, arranged in a turbid saucepan heaped with expensive bits of
caviar in bad-smelling mouse urine, a side of crackers and a pint of
    thickened tomato extract.
