Is there anywhere in NZ that actually stocks a decent range of USB or firewire audio/MIDI interfaces

    Actually - is there anywhere in NZ that stocks a decent range of ANY
    hardware for ANY purpose? It's like the distributers purposely leave out
    all equipment that was reviewed well.

    Music Works are agents for quite a variety including RME
    Oceania sell Presonus, The Rock Shop sells M-audio and Edirol
    If you want a good USB powered one try ringing Direct Imports in
    hastings and ask them where you can buy a Tascam 122
