IP telephone and IBM desktops

    Has anyone had issues connecting IBM desktops to the network through a
    Cisco 7960 IP phone. IBM laptop works fine.

    It has been suggested that it might be a BIOS version or Driver version
    issue.

    It might be. I'd like to see if others have had similar issues.

    If the PC works when plugged into a switchport, it should work plugged into
    a phone... Unless.

    You have disabled the 7960 switchport.

    You also might have buggy code on the 7960, upgrade it to 7.2.2
