Internet/Intranet Site Updates/Changes - Automation

    i am working for a SMB Mfg company, our company website runs in ASP.NET/IIS/SQLSERVER. we have different depts which access contents thru Intranet/Internet. we are doing all these content updates manually through database which is time consuming and sometimes not a process oriented approach other than doing it manually.

    Is there a better approach to fix these issues. like a automation process.
