Internet Connection Drops Repeatedly

  1. Accepted. :)
Not as steep as you might think. Plunge right in, play and experiment,
and you'll be up to speed in short order.
While Tbird is somewhat different, it is also very similar, as are all
email clients. By their very nature, they all need to be similar^1 - in
that they all do the same job.

Now, *newsreaders* (NNTP clients) do sometimes dare to be different,
because they are normally quite a bit more powerful when Usenet is their
    prime function.
    Seems to have worked...
I'm off for newspaper and donuts...

^1. at least for all the common ones.

I'm using a Netgear DG834Gv3 router and my connection drops

FYI - Since switching over to using my new Apple iMac I am pleased to
report that the dropping of my connection seems to be a thing of the
past - all works (fingers crossed!) perfectly! :)

(It is positioned in exactly the same place as was my old PC)

So now I'm left wondering just why that might be!
