    Hi,

    I have recently replaced a IDS-4230 sensor with a IDS-4235 sensor. I
think the port on the new sensor is a 10/100/1000Mbps UTP port. The
previous sensor (4230) had it's mointoring interface plugged to a
Cisco FastHub 400, which is a 10/100Mbps hub. When I plugged the
monitoring interface of the 4235 to this hub, this interface is not
    comming up.

On the 4235 NIC, I can see the LEDs glowing. This is true for the hub
port also where this cable connects. However, the front panel LED for
this port does not glow. I also cannot receive any events on this
interface. When I connect the cable to a switch, all LEDs glow. I
think it is a autonegotiation problem.

    Can anybody please help.

You might want to try posting your question to the IDS forum
(networking pro connection) on CCO. There are a lot of developers
and TAC guys monitoring that forum.
