I received a spam mail bounced back that said I sent it

  1. I do not spam! It said I sent a spam e mail that was undeliverable by
Mailer-Daemon and of course its not in my sent items folder. Could that be a
    virus I need to remove?

Its either someone pretending to be a mailer demon to get you to open it or
someone with a virus relaying BCC, I think the former

Scan your computer for a worm. You most likely have a worm like "my doom"
that mails out a bunch of spam using your email address as the sender.
There are some holes in the Windows system that require patches to prevent
these worms from getting past the security that you might check on at
Microsoft's site to see if that is your problem.
