HP Swap Harddrives

    Hey Guys/Gals,
    Just picked up a old HP Pavilion 600MHz and was trying to just swap out the
    harddrive from my wifes older 233MHz into the HP. She's been running Win95b
    and I'd like to get her at least to 98SE. The problem I found is that when I
    swapped drives the HP would say it was starting Win98 then go into the HP
    recovery setup. It would say to "press any key to continue" but when I did
    nothing would happen. Is there some way to clear it so it will just start
    Win 95 from her old drive then I can use a Win98SE upgrade disk? She has a
    lot of work, mail etc. that she'd like to keep.

    This should be interesting...

    Any chance that there is a second HDD in the HP? I mean, how else would
    the "starting win98" blurb appear? Is there a recovery CD in the CDROM
    drive?

    can you boot off the win98 cd?

    win95 needs a patch to run on many faster cpu's
