    Dear rec.photo.digital

I like the HP Everyday Matte Photopaper with my HP PhotoSmart printer
because it's cheap and good for general purposes. But, I have noticed
that pictures that I have put up on the fridge or bulletin board get
awfully faded. Is this just because they are out in the open or is it
due to the ink or paper? Would a fixative solve the problem? Do I need
to just forget about the Everyday paper?

    Thanks much for your thoughts!
    Tom

I like that paper too but haven't had any fading problems.
HP ink is supposed to have a long life on their paper.
Are you exposing it to sunlight, vapours, humidity etc.?
For advice, go to HP.com & search for photo fading
