How to connect xbox 360 wireless adapter to home stealthed network

    Ok i recently purchased an xbox 360 wireless nerwork adapter the only problem is that my wireless home network is stealted when i try to search for networks it doesnt show up and when i manualy input the ssid it has a wpa but i am not able to select wpa only wpa2 and i dont really want to pay a geek squad guy 100 bucks to do a 5 min job thats too easy for me to handle!
    Any help is appreciated
