High-speed CompactFlash for Canon S410

I just purchased a Canon S410 along with a Viking 1-GB CompactFlash card
    (model CF1GB).

I notice that the 32-MB CompactFlash card that comes with the camera is
labeled "high speed," while the Viking card says nothing about speed.
According to the Viking web site, its write transfer rate is 1.2 MB/sec
burst, but the camera's manual mentions nothing about the required
    transfer rate.

Should I assume that the camera will perform just as well with a non-high
speed CompactFlash card, or will I see a difference with certain
functions, like movie clips or continuous shooting?

I have the 410 and use various cards of varying speeds by different
manufacturers. I have seen no difference in reading and writing speeds with
the 410. (Higher end cameras - like a lot of the digital SLR's - are able to
make use of cards with faster read/write speeds.
