I have made a limited account for a young child but would really like to be
able to hide the programs entry in the start menu. Ideally I would be able
to toggle it easily so I could see it from the limited account if I needed
to. I have tried switching on the hide attribute of the all users and
limited account programs folder but even with show hidden files on the all
users part of the programs folder is also hidden from my start menu admin
account. I don't really want to move all the all users program entries to my
account programs but would like a way to just turn off the programs entry in
the start menu as you can for control panel et al. Thanks.

    Hi,

I think Winfilter is good for you(http://updownsoft.com). The profile feature is great in my opinion. it allows you to customize file visibility in your machine and save the configuration to a file.

It also include the following features:
    hide drives and files
    hide start menu icon
    hide program shortcuts
    hide desktop icons

To know more detail, please check their website
