    Hi,

I have question. A telephone company installed a T3 connection to connect two of our offices. They stated they have tested the connection between their devices at each office and the connection is communicating successfully. They stated we can now connect one end of an ethernet cable into their device and connect the other end of the ethernet cable to our device. My question is, can we simply attach a computer to the ethernet cable at each office and ensure they are both on the same subnet ? Then can we ping from one computer to the other across the T3 connection to ensure communication is successful ? Or must we connect a router or firewall with a Public IP to the ethernet cable at each office ?

    Your help is appreciated.

    Regards,

    Jason
