Help: 16X Dvd burner only burns at 4X DVD+/-RW 16x+|NEC ND-3500A BK

    I just recently bought and installed a new Dvd+/- RW 16X NEC Dvd
    burner. I also bought spindle of 50 DVD+R RITEK DRD+47-8X. But when I
    go burn a dvd with Nero it only list the maximum burn speed as 4X. Can
    someone please help me out here? I ran Nero Info Tool on it and the write
    speed is still showing at 4X. I also did the latest firmware upgrade. What
    am I doing wrong? What do I need to do to get it up to 8X or even 16X once
    they make media capable of handling 16X. TIA
