Ha. I got the first New Years greeting posted for the Australian boys. I see from CNN that it's already 2006 in Sydney. Say, got any lottery numbers for us in the US?:lollypop:

Looked to me like it was an SQL server problem, those happen to my sites sometimes and they just magically go away. <Shrug>

Anyway, Happy New Year peopls. I was over my pop's for the NYE party, watched the ball drop on TV, got scared by Dick Clark (eeks!) and that's about it.

From now on I'm just going to ignore you when you don't understand a reference to something 99.999999% of the world knows about. I assume you live in a little cave somewhere and only use the internet to come on a few sites and post. :)

haha, i watched regis filban coutdown... it was funny cuz when the started the 10 second count they were 1 second behind... they were on 4 when they realized they were behind and mumbled a 'fictional' number, then said 2... 1...

BTW Unholy, Dick Clarck is an old guy, who has been having "Dick Clarks rocking New years eve party" for like the last 20 years or more. Its just a show, that has been broadcasted on TV, that shows the ball drop in NYC.
Best time to loot his house i say.

Yeah, I didn't know who he was either, since it's not shown down under. In B risbane we have the new years fireworks that are synchronised with music that plays, but that's about it.

Dick Clark is known for a lot more than that. He was the second and most well known host of American Bandstand, which was the show that started all the music on TV crazes long before anyone ever thought of MTV. He was the co-host of all the "Bloopers" programs with Ed McMahon and he's well known for being in his 70's but looking 20, though he had a stroke recently and now he looks and sounds like he's a zombie. He's been doing the NYE countdown for over 30 years and it's broadcast all over the globe, not just in the U.S. though it's only relevant to eastern time (where I live) which is also where New York is, but it moves on through all the time zones.
