From an investment site that is using individual emaill adds to send their
mail. Getting about 20 a day on stocks and shares. Tried to block them using
spam controls but they don't use the same add twice. Replied to a few
telling them to stop but got a return of mail post.

It is blocking up my system how do I stop it.

    1) Take OE out of its auto sending and receiving of emails on a timed basis
and at start-up. You will have the control then as to when emails are sent
from the outbox or received to the inbox, as you must use the Send/Revc
button and nothing happens automatic anymore.

    2) You use something like MailWasher (with out the bounce feature) to look
at emails at the POP3 server and delete any ones you don't want before using
the Send/Recv button to pull the email to the inbox or sending them from the
    outbox.

  4. And never, ever reply to spam. It only guarantees a hundred times more once
they know your address is a working one.

Never ever reply to spam! Most email addresses posted to by spammers are
made pick'n'match style from books of first & last names - they don't know
you actually exist until you confirm that you do by replying!
Also try making your email address with a mixture of alphanumeric characters
in the 2 segments before the @. Hint; use electrical appliance model numbers
eg; (electric can opener & chip fryer
respectively) the spammers won't slide this off a book of names.

Also create a separate email address for newsgroups and any other use that
you will never need to download the inbox.

The licenced stock advisors and "grey area" unregulated ones have your
information from previous investments you have made, which is how they know
more details than usual. It's unusual for "spank shops" and boiler room
operations to have more than an email address and a name, though sometimes
the advisors move between spank shops and regulated shops and take info with
them, or contacts in regulated shops sell mailing lists to the spank shops.
    Mail rules.

Besides spam software, also download freeware Blue Frog from
    www.bluesecurity.com

It seems to be the only other alternative besides spam lists and
    filters.

Next time use a disposable email address for webpages.
