Funny thing..

Noticed that my PS was making a lot of Noise, turned out my CPU Fan was running flat out, and the
CPU was getting a bit Hot 64c..

Checked with the task manager and noticed that the CPU was running 50%, but I had only one dnload
running, confirmed with the task manager only one IE running and is using 50% of the CPU, also in
the Firewall only showed the IE that was getting data, virus program disabled at that time.

I have never seen this before, and no Viruses were shown and some minor Spamware that I removed with
Ad-Aware..

After a reboot yesterday, no problems, and none so far today.


So did the Winsock get its knickers in a twist.?

Why? it is not 1988 when you had to because they broke stuff. The only
reason to disable a realtime AV is to actually download something that
would trigger it.

You %50 usage is probably because you have a hyperthreaded Pentium 4 CPU,
go and google it.
