Firefox under Linux -- odd behavior

Discussion in 'Firefox' started by Dennis J. Tuchler, Jul 28, 2004.

  1. Firefox behaves oddly when used as the web browser by an e-mail
application. There must be a way to repair this and I hope you can
provide me some guidance in that direction.

When Thunderbird or Kedit call up Firefox to read a url embedded in
e-mail, instead of hooking up to the url, Firefox downloads the page and
then presents it as a file on my hard drive. This is ok until I want to
click on some of the references at the url. Can't do that because the
reference resolves to an address in the same directory on the hard drive,
where the file to be read isn't!

I have no such problem with Firefox when I call it up alone to connect
    with a url.
