Eureka!

    I was vigorously using Firefox when a local lightning strike caused a
    brief power outage that went through my power supply protection stuff
    and caused my computer to restart. After the restart, I clicked on
    the Firefox icon and both browser windows opened exactly the way they
    were before the interruption.

    Wow.
