Error after updating Firefox themes and extensions

Discussion in 'Firefox' started by Christine Marie, Oct 25, 2004.

  1. I updated my themes and extensions (ieview, and Pinball, if it matters),
and now I'm getting the following error when I try to fire up Firefox:
"Error launching browser window:no XBL binding for browser." (Running on
    Windows XP, SP1).

Safe Mode doesn't work either. I reinstalled Firefox, and still no joy.

I'm thinking I could go into the dealie that lets you edit preferences
and such from the backend, and just turn off those two, but I can't
remember the URL for that. Tips, anyone?

    Thanks!
    Chris

  2. Go to your profile folder, and rename the chrome folder. A new chrome
folder will be created for you, and Firefox will open. You will need to
    reinstall themes and extensions.

From what I've been seeing, Safe Mode doesn't seem to accomplish very much.
