"Encapsulation failed" when trying to send on VPDN interface.

  1. Hello,

I have a Cisco-3,640 running 12.2(19) serving as an LNS server for people who
use VPDN dialler to connect to it (it has two legs, one on a private network
over which people use the Microsoft VPN dialler to authenticate).

All is working ok until people start having communication problems; the VPDN
connect and then nothing... Using DEBUG IP PACKET DETAIL I've found that the
packet cannot be sent from the Cisco because of "encapsulation failed"; the
routing seems ok, and ping to the private address is ok also. A reboot fixes
    it.

Any idea how to look for the source of this "encapsulation failed" error?

    Thanks! __Yehavi:
