Empty dir's

    Win98SE, have several hundred empty dir's all with nondescript names at
    location: C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\UserData\
    Anyone know what's been creating these and if they can be deleted without
    causing problems for anything?

    They are created by Internet Explorer's "UserData Persistence"
    feature. This is used for personalising Windows Update.
