Easy Transfer from Vista 64 bit to Vista 64 bit

    Trying to use Easy Transfer to move files and settings from my old computer,
    running Vista Ultimate 64 bit to a new one running Vista Home Premium 64 bit,
    service pack 1.

    It starts, but after about 3 hours just hangs up or stops. Nothing gets
    transferred. I've tried it with a cable and over the network.

    Is there any third party application that moves files from 64 bit to 64 bit?
    Laplink's PCMover doesn't as yet.

    One thing I'd try is using a removable HD for this, or a network share. I
    generally run WET off to my Windows Home Server and then back to the new PC,
    rather than trying to do a direct connection.
