    Hi all

    Does anyone know where I can get the html (or tutorial) on creating flipping
    pages? I am trying to create an online samples book, I have the jpgs
    uploaded and displayed, but would love to make it look more like a
    'brochure' with pages automatically flipping over when you view them.
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks
    C

    HO HO HO

    I've tried flipping everywhere! Its only a little thing I will do once, so
    don't want to spend $100+ on e-book software at present.

    Automatic is a big issue, viewers may not like the automatic speed you
    pick.
    Try www.google.com
    Searched the web for
    demo html photo gallery flip pages
    Results 1 - 25 of about 2,750. Search took 0.33 seconds

    Something like
    http://www.webmasterfree.com/software/WebAuthoringTools/ImageGalleryTools/
    http://www.newfreeware.com/graphics/313/

    change search keywords,

    Searched the web for
    html slide show generator
    Results 1 - 25 of about 129,000. Search took 0.30 seconds.

    Most solutions use JavaScript which client might have disabled or ASP /
    PHP.

    Is it for BY PWP or another hosting site? Could check with newsgroups
    for your service provider to see if others have done the samething and
    what worked.

    A very basic solution (has problems if you insert / delete pictures you
    need to redit the links each time) would be along the lines of (skipping
    a lot of HTML here and it's not been tested as shown)

    intro.html -
    <img src="picture1.jpg>
    <br>
    <a href="page2.html">Next</a> / <a href="pageX.html">Last</a>

    page2.html -
    <img src="picture2.jpg>
    <br>
    <a href="intro.html">Start</a> / <a href="page3.html">Next</a> /
    <a href="intro.html">Previous</a> / <a href="pageX.html">Last</a>

    page3.html -
    <img src="picture3.jpg>
    <br>
    <a href="intro.html">Start</a> / <a href="page4.html">Next</a> /
    <a href="page2.html">Previous</a> / <a href="pageX.html">Last</a>

    page4.html -
    <img src="picture4.jpg>
    <br>
    <a href="intro.html">Start</a> / <a href="page5.html">Next</a> /
    <a href="page3.html">Previous</a> / <a href="pageX.html">Last</a>

    A more advanced solution is put picture filenames and notes/descriptions
    into a database file, you then create a script to read the entries from
    the database.

    JacknJill -> check the demo at pressmo site, you can try it, check if everything is ok for you and make a decision. My friend used it some time ago when he had a freelance job for "moving" the old papers of some magazine to online archive and I think they've been selling them later on.

    Landenn - thanks, that's what we did with pressmo, we've checked demo, tried it for free and now we're using it. Pros - fast, easy and the output looks good. Oh and the flip page effect looks good too. So we ended with it :)
