DVD to mpeg2 (with no change in mpeg stream and conversion of ac3 to wav)?

    hi,

    i have a dvd and want to transfer it to an mpeg2 file. one solution is
    to copy the vob files and rename the vob to mpeg. but then there is
    the ac3 sound in the mpeg. is there a tool like virtualdub for
    avi-files with which i can do the following:

    input: vob (or renamed vob)
    --> direct stream copy mpeg2
    --> full processing mode ac3 to way
    output: mpeg2 stream with wav as audio

    is there a tool which can do this? most of the tools i found try to
    recompress the mpeg2 stream, but i am searching for an direct stream
    solution. only the ac3 sound should be converted or compressed.
