dvd drive and dvd writer master and slave settings.

    Hi I have a dvd drive and have installed a dvd writer. Should the dvd writer
    be the slave and the dvd drive be the master or does it not matter.
    Currently the DVD drive is the master and the DVD writer is the slave. Also
    in device properties under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers Secondary IDE Channel
    Properties Advanced settings Device 0 has Transfer Mode DMA if available
    with Current Transfer Mode as PIO Mode and Device 1 Transfer Mode DMA if
    available and Current Transfer Mode Ultra DMA Mode 2.

    The motherboard is an MSI MS-6738(v1.X) Micro X and the DVD drive is a
    Pioneer DVD-ROM DVD-113 and the DVD writer is an NEC DVD_RW ND-2500A. I
    have all the latest updates for the motherboard using the MSI live update
    from the MSI website.

    It doesn't matter as long as both are not on same ide cable as hard
    drives...
