DVD Backup drag and drop

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by [email protected], Dec 1, 2004.

  1. My son has bought a new laptop for University which has a DVD rewriter.
I tried last night to see if the lap would copy / backup a DVD incase the
original got damaged. When the rewriter started it said the DVD had a
protection called LAP so could not be backup.

It did say the DVD can be backed up but by using DRAG AND DROP.
How do I back up a DVD using drag and drop.

I have always encouraged my kids to backup all CDs and keep the original in
its case, they do not take the original CDs out of the house only a backup
version, if it gets damaged in the car etc they just make another copy from
    the original.

Both these programs will "backup" your discs.
Most shop bought dvds are 9 gig, so they will need compressing to fit on
    4.7gig or 8.5 gig(dual layer) disc
    DVD Decrypter http://www.dvddecrypter.com/
