Is there someway to print out a detailed report of all
Windows and Office patches installed on a computer...
    and what they do?

I need to print out such a "report" abt a computer for
    my boss.

  2. Belarc from

Shows what patches are installed as well as many other things.
Clicking on a link after the patch number takes you to the correct
    Micrsoft page describing that patch.

Goto 'Windows Update', select in left-panel, 'View Installation History'
'File' menu>Print Preview, you may need to drag left panel to nil to get the
    right panel complete.
    'File' menu>Print

Tried that...... but ther is a scroll-able frame within
a frame that has more info in it that doesn't show up
    when doing the above! Arrrgghhh!!

How can I get it to show everything in that scroll-able
windows frame?? It scrolls down and up by the way

Yeah.... I cant even find anyway in the Internet
Explorer print preview window to FULLY print a frame
with a scroll bar in it.

However..... I did find a 3rd party screen capture
utility called HyperSnap that can do that. But dang...
I hate to have to buy another "tool" to fully display
info in a frame with scroll bar!!

You'd think Internet Explorer would allow that somehow.

Maybe it does and Im missing something? If yes..... can
    anyone please advise? thanks!!

As has been mentioned 'Belarc Adviser' will show the details (again a little
    difficulty captureing info)

Thiere is also 'AIDA32' that is a freedownload (well worth haveing anyway).
(look carefully you'll see a link concerning which version you want)
This doesn't have a print function, but a report ('Report' menu) can be made
    in html or text.
PS the WinUpdates will be found under 'Software' in the left-panel of AIDA32

Yeah... I know..... but it doesn't give a detailed
report of what the patches do.... without clicking on
    another link
