Something is wrong with this picture:

He'd be paying $170 _MORE_ for the Lenovo than for the MacBook Pro, but
the Lenovo has the drive bay option allowing you to replace the optical
drive with HDD or battery or something.
In other words, the 'lot more bang' statement is totally outrageous.
He's paying more and getting one feature that some people might like
    (but not me!).

You twat. He's saying there is more machine (value) for the money, not that
    the Lenovo is cheaper.

Clearly, I understood that -- it is what I was writing about.
What I am writing is that there is NOT more machine for the money.
It costs more and offers one additional feature. That isn't 'a lot more
machine' or more value for the money unless that one feature is
    important to someone.

Did you think I didn't understand the phrase?

Well, he's not getting a complete peice of shit, which I think is worth more
    than $170

Oh, I get it -- you're one of those that think Macs are really
different from everything and really junky and Apple is a horrible
company that has never done you any good.
    Huh. Weird.

Nope, the power macs I used a few years ago were great. The newer ones
    shite.
    Not really.
