Hello all - I have a very strange problem with my computer. If I leave my computer on for an extended period of time (either overnight or while I am at work) I am unable to turn my monitor on. The computer sounds like it is still running (fans on, lights on). However, it seems to be more than just my monitor because my wireless usb lan adaptor turns off as well. I normally leave Gmail open all day, so I know when my computer stops working when my gmail chat goes into offline mode.

In power settings (Windows XP Pro), the only setting I have is to turn my monitor off after 20 minutes. The power settings does not turn off the hard disks, or go into standby or hibernate. I have the default screen saver turn on after 10 minutes, then my monitor turn off after 20 minutes.

This does not happen every time - sometimes I move my mouse in the morning, and the monitor turns on, and I can use my computer fine. If I can't, I have to hold down the power button for a few seconds to turn my computer off. Once it is off, I can turn it right back on, and use it perfectly fine.

For reference, I have a 22" widescreen Westinghouse monitor hooked up to a AGP Geforce 6600GT. I am using a wireless keyboard and mouse - Logitech Cordless MX Duo. AMD 3000+ barton core, 1gb ram, 2 HDDs, two optical drives, 550Watt PS.
