    Trying to help a friend with her computer, She said it shuts down after she boots it up, and that its at random, either 15 seconds or will stay on for up to 3 hours, was guessing it could be a virus, anyones help would be appreciated! thanks!

    :p

    i have a dell 360 that does that.
    try leaving the pc alone for two days to a week flat.
    if it stays on for more than 3 hours then it might be a dimm or mother board issue.

    Shutting down issue

    you could also try updating the BIOS with a fresh file via the vendor website;
    this can have startling results.
