Computer freezes at IDE detection in BIOS

    Can't get past the IDE detection, computer freezes and only a three finger
    salute will free it. Hitting the DEL key does nothing...this is an MSI KM2M
    Combo board. Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Thanks Gary, this is for my cousin so I will check it out tomorrow...I am
    willing to bet that the hard drive ribbon is loose....
