I am having a problems troubleshooting my wife's old computer.
the first problems I found was it was an HP. Not much I could do about
    that.
Then when I powered it up, the beep was ok but it couldn't find the
    os.
I tried replacing the address ribbon and that didnt help.
I also hooked up her hard drive to my computer and I could see
everything she had on her hard drive. I could access it also.
I tried hooking it back up and using her resurection CD that HP gave
    to her.
I also tried a different hard drive and while that one was there I
even tried loading up fedona 2(linux OS).

oh and before all of this"cant find the os", the computer was booting
up alot slower than it should.

besides getting a new computer or any other smart ass remarks, does
anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong and what I could check?
