Colour coding senders/recipients like in Outlook 2000?

    I'm finding that Outlook had a lot more features than I had realized
    <g>.

    I am spoiled with Outlook despite the fact that I'd like to try
    something else. Way back when I set colours to certain people. My
    posts come in as blue, one particular friend as pink, my sister and
    the rest of my family as green, etc., etc. Makes it very easy to see
    everyone visually against the regular black lettering of everyone
    else.

    I belong to over 40 yahoo groups so I get a lot of mail and I'd like
    to colour code in Thunderbird like I do in Outlook to really save time
    and aggravation.

    Is this possible to do?

    Sure

    Tools-->Message Filter

    assign a label to that sender
    and change the label colours using

    Thunderbird-->Preferences-->Display

    You can assign any label to a specific person or sender (or multiple
    senders) and change the colour to whatever you like.
