Cleaning up read messages

Discussion in 'Firefox' started by Mike Phillips, Oct 30, 2003.

  1. I'm new to Thunderbird 0.3. After I subscribe to a newsgroup and mark
    all messages read, how do I delete the downloaded headers? I've been
    using Netscape 3.04 for years, and it cleans up after itself automatically.

    Quite simply, you dont <g>
    However, you can hide them just as with Netscape Communicator

    View-->Messages-->Unread

    Newsgroup messages stay on the server until they are deleted by that
    server, if you have your view set to All you will see them all
