Hello, all. I've been unsuccessful in getting my Dell E6500 with Fedora
17/Gnome 3 to work over a public WiFi net. The VPN connection tells me
I've been correctly authenticated and logged in but I've got no browser,
    e-mail or other service.

The VPN connection works fine over a wired LAN and the public WiFi works
fine without the VPN. Thanks for your time and comment. Sincerely,

It's wird. Can you show us ipconfig /all, when you are connected
through wired LAN (WiFi off) and then WiFi instead LAN (cable
disconnected). Are you owner of the router (WiFi)?

you could weblink srtong long-distance wi-fi aerial to your wi-fi wi-fi wireless router (if it allows it)
or if the store is linked through your houses routine board you can use a powerline adaptor to weblink your house and store or if that will never execute you could get a outside wi-fi accessibility way and put it maybe midway between the buildings
