Changing drive letters in XP?

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by Gilligan Monger, Jul 21, 2003.

  1. My CD-ROM insists on being drive letter G: despite F: being free and E:
being a Zip Disk set as slave on the same IDE channel. As it's my gf's PC, I
want to keep it nice and simple - the same letter all the time, and
immediately following her harddrives on C and D. What's the easiest way to
ensure it always remains at the drive letter of my choosing?

  3. No idea about that but I would assign the zip drive to Z personally as it makes
    it easy to remember
