    Hello,

Up until recently, I had Norton AntiVirus 2004 Pro. I used to visit on a daily basis http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/defs.download.html in order to use the Intelligent Updater so as to download antivirus definition files.

Now that I have purchased Norton Internet Security 2005, whenever I try to install files via the above link, I receive an error message stating that my subscription has expired.

I've tried looking for a site with downloadable AV files for NIS 2005, but without success. Yesterday for instance, though there was an April 2 file available for Norton AV 2004 Pro, when I tried to update NIS 2005 from *within* the software, it just re-installed the AV file for April 1, but not for April 2.

Any and all help in learning how to update NIS 2005 on a daily basis will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

Martin- the first thing I'd suggest you do is completely uninstall
both the 2004 and 2005 versions of Norton and after rebooting just
install a clean copy of 2005 and then go about your updates.
