Canon SD100 vertical light streaks on lcd screen

    Hi all,

    I get vertical light streaks on the lcd screen of my new canon SD100
    when taking an image containing a bright source (e.g, light bulb, or
    sunlight thru a window). The picture themselves do not have these
    vertical light streaks. Is this normal since I have not got this
    effect with my old sony digital camera?

    my s230 does the same thing--I think the high intensity spot of light simply
    overpowers the software and creates the vertical streak. There is nothing
    wrong with your camera--don't worry.
