I am trying to choose between these two photo printers, as I am totally sold
on the i950 (read too many reviews), and not considering anything else.

But there seems to be little user feedback/review on the new i960, and I am
not sure what the diff. are after seeing both at CompUSA. They look
different, and the i960 has a USB port on the front, larger.

But Canon's website on spec showing both being pretty much identical (speed,
res, droplet size, # of inks, etc)...

The new i960 is $199, the older i950 is $230.

    Anyone got i960 experience?

The i960 supports direct printing from a "Pictbridge"-compatible camera.

The i860 and the i960 have an extra tray for 4x6 photo paper.

More features. Lower price. I suspect the lower price is aimed at grabbing
market share during the 2003 holiday buying season. There's money to be made
selling paper, ink, and other Canon products, including cameras.
