  2. give it a domain name and use ca generate command to make ssh keys
the use ca save all to save into nvram

    verify with show ca command

I would suggest you do 2 things

    1. change your password since you just posted it to a public newsgroup
    2. do NOT post you IP address along with your password !!!

    thanks for the info...
ps. ips and passwords are bogus by the way...
have created an rsa key no probs.. when trying to connect to outside
interface i get prompted for user id and password after i accepted the
then when entered get errro saying password invalid and soon as i say ok..
another line appears saying 'invalid message type'

anyone know what could cause this? need an ios upgrade?
    current version is
    Cisco PIX Firewall Version 6.3(3)
Cisco PIX Device Manager Version 3.0(1)

if i were to upgradde how could i obtain a newer version of ios?
    any ideas?
    thanks in advance

  6. password invalid means you typed wrong password.

Default SSH username is pix and password cisco
Did you give the PIX a DOMAIN-NAME ?
