Cannot connect to the Canon IR2200 through cisco 2950 switch

    Good Evening.
    We have just purchased the new Canon IR2200 canon copier with printing
    facility. It was setup by a canon engineer. The Ethernet cable is connected
    to a port on the switch which shows green. We cannot ping the Copier. All
    existing cables and settings where used with an ordinary bay 10mb switch and
    it works perfectly.
    Anyone point me to what could be wrong with the configuration of the 2950
    switch.

    Try forcing the port to 10/half on the switch...
