Can Firefox's CACHE file be deleted with no problem?

With IE, one can delete the "Temporary Internet Files" folder and it
gets re-created on computer reboot when the OS re-loads. Was
wondering if the same things happen with Firefox?

My cache folder is located here, on my machine:
    C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.yy7\Cache

If I add that file to my cleaner bat that deletes folders that just
get re-created on system startup, will the same thing happen for this
    case?

    Thanks.
