Blu-Ray sales tank for good reasons

  1. I laugh my arse off these yanks that still soak up this1960's English
    stereotype.

Maybe I'll take you up on that offer and bring my mate over "The Queen", we
all know her you know. It'll make a delightful change from the dripping
butties that we normally eat. Do you think our fragile decayed teeth will
stand up to proper food though?

there's still a few small independent british owned companies about
iirc, like Noble and whoever makes the Atom, but most of the main ones
are owned by americans or germans now.

  3. Aston Martin are now back in British Hands, and although most of our other
Marques are foreign owned does that make them not British. After all the
companies that now own them are floated on the stock exchanges and have
shares owned by a wealth of nationalities and institutions some of which
will most definitely be British as well.

Noble is in hiatus as is TVR at the moment, though TVR looks dead to all
    intent and purpose.

In existence, we have Ariel, Morgan and I would argue Lotus as well (who
    cares who owns them ;))

However, we still have a car industry, as quite a few of the major
manufacturers have plants here, particularly the Japanese.

And then there's the frankly bewildering array of specialist engineering
firms in the auto industry doing everything from expensively retro
engineering established classics to small niche sports car manufacturers
    like Ultimate, Westfield, Caterham etc.

Also, let's not forget the huge F1 presence as well as, IIRC, the
company that builds all the indy cars is British as well, though I could
    be wrong there.

Most fans take it far more personally than that and the "are" could be
coined to refer to the English fans as well as the team.

It's proper chocolate, it just contains less cocoa and more milk than
most of the Swiss and Belgian stuff. It's purely a matter of taste as to
which one prefers. I like both and even Hershey's too. I've had some
cheap stuff from Switzerland that is far worse quality than Cadbury's
and Hershey's. The worst I have ever had comes from Canada and is made
by a company called Allen's. Absolutely horrible stuff and has to be
made from 50% sugar from the taste of it.

Haggis is literally made from all the crap no one else in Britain will
eat. England ships all the offals up to Scotland so you can eat haggis
every day of the week. Foul shite.

us at gunpoint when we go there for a visit.

You won't find any restaurants serving rare steak anymore. Too risky to
    cause a case of botulism.

Pretty well all horror movies back in those days were cheesy and/or
campy. I have the Vincent Price version on a horror DVD collection. It
is public domain too so you can download it for free off the internet. I
think Google video even has it up for viewing online.

I didn't like it all that much either but compared to Cloverfield it is
a masterpiece. Cloverfield is 90min of shots of peoples shoes and bad
actors doing the Blair Witch school of acting.

The 2nd Coming of The Wonderfully Amazing Almighty Orgasmic Super
Terrific Heroic Angelic Alpha Heartbreak Kid Nature Boy Hornet X Prime
Video On Demand will win. Why should I go to the video store and stand
in line when I can just download the movie to my HD PVR or Xbox360?
That's what companies like Microsoft are counting on and they don't
really care which format won because they offer a better alternative. BD
    is for movie collectors only.

Yea, but one day your HD player will break and there won't be any
replacement to buy so you will be stuck with nothing to play them on.

  20. The basic Hershey bars are not great but their higher level products
are actually not bad at all. However, there's a lot more to American
chocolate than Hershey, which isn't even the biggest American
chocolate company (that distinction goes to the superior Mars
    company).

Then there's stuff like Ghirardelli, See's and Godiva, all of which
are considered "top tier" American chocolate (although honestly I'm
not a huge fan because the stuff is just too damn sweet).

It's all crap compared to Swiss and Belgian chocolate, though.
