Blog editors and posting dates

    I've just started keeping a blog for a specific purpose. I made
    Thursday's entry on Thursday, but I neglected to make Friday's entry
    until today. The blog editor attaches today's date and time to my
    posting, no matter if I want it to be for a prior date.

    Is this lack of editing of the posting date a normal thing for blogs, or
    just bad software on someone's part that I'm using. This blog comes to
    me for free as part of my Internet account but this lack of an important
    feature makes it difficult for me to use.
