Bhtee profits off the scale, but internet still sloooow
    -------------------------------------------------------

Imagine a situation where management trolls who have never
travelled and seen the world running your internet company.

And then imagine spending billions on airports and sea ports.

And now imagine being unable to log in and booking flights
or checking progress of containers laden orders.

WHERE IS THE POINT IN HAVING BILLIONS OF ASSETS HELD TO RANSOM
BY IDIOTIC INTERNET COMPANY LIKE BHTEE WHO CAN'T DELIVER
100MBIT ANG 1GBIT INTERNET AT INTERNATIONAL PRICE OF UNDER $100?

There is no point when Bhtee declares its made billions
taxing the poor and delivering incompetent piss poor
100Mbit and 1GBit service to everyone.

The retail price of 4GBYTE (16Gbit) optical transcievers
is about $15. For just that $15 you can cary about 160 houses
on 100Mbit or 16 houses on 1Gbit service.

This is how the world works now.

So what is the fscking point of having Bhtee management trolls
announcing they made billions in profits while
charging minimum £5000 for a 100 mbit internet link??????????????

All that extra machinery for non-symetrical DSL (i.e. ADSL)
costs a fortune compared to symetric DSL.

Only incompetent Bhtee management trolls order up non-symetrical ADSL
crap when symetric DSL is much much cheaper to implenent and sell.

And a clueless as ever, perhaps the magic fairies that live in his head
will install the thousands of miles of optical fibre for free .

You are not sure, and you are wrong.
The rest of the world have no problems upgrading everything to fiber
    and charging $30 for 100mbit.
    Doh!

Its cheaper than maintanence cost of copper.

One fiber carries more data than all the copper in any street.

The only reason why Bhtee management trolls keep dragging their feet
is because they can't go on charging as usual if fiber went in.

The cost of servicing their infrastructure and would drop to nearly
zero, and that would effectively mean prices have to drop.

But hey, we the customers are not complaining if that happened!!!

In fact they already have a lot of fiber, but they are unlit,
and dark, so that Bhtee can continue to overcharge for every
bit of data that travels on copper.

So, now its time to force the sale of Bhtee infrastructure so that smaller
firms can light up existing fiber, and rip it up anything else
that Bhtee dragged its foot on and put in fiber.

It does happen in rural areas. If enough people can get together
and cooperate, they are entitled dig up their own roads and properties
and put in their own fiber because the encumbant Bhtee is declared
to be incompetant in that area and delinquent of their duties.

  5. But you don't just have to buy a few optical transceivers. You have to
dig up the roads as well, to install the fibre. And the ISP will have
to install new equipment on their premises too. And it has to be
installed piecemeal, in such a way that the new system can exist
alongside the old for many years, because not everybody will want, or
could afford, to upgrade simultaneously. All that probably costs a bit
    more than $15 per dwelling.

    O

You also have to pay rates on the cables in England for some stupid
reason, not in Scotland , not sure about Wales. BT pay a block payment
to the HMG so get it cheaper per mile than the small guy.

That's the problem by the time it's been let out of the asylum a lot
of posters on here have moved elsewhere, so another new batch of well
meaning posters waste their time and effort trying to talk sense to
something which has very little sense (if any).

There is a tendency for some countries to install very fast connections
to prestige sites in the capital city then journalists visit, staying in
5 Star hotels of course, return home and write reports about how
everyone in the country has a 1TB connection.

I have mentioned that when I got my 35Mb BT Infinity connection a friend
in the US told me that it was three times faster than what he is able to
get not far from San Francisco / Silicon Valley - he is director (and
ex-CTO) of a major software company.

    Upgrades are transparent.
You place new order for new 'lines' if you felt you need it.
The average price internationally is around $50/month for symmetric 100mbit
as oppposed to Bhtee's >£5000 per install + £5000+ per year line fees.
Well 'Rod' at least you can walk away knowing $15 is the cost
of 4GByte (16Gbit) optical transceivers to know Bhtees deception.

They are not entitled to any of the profits they cream off the UK.
