    Hi,
Not sure if this is the correct forum for this question.
The ATM IMA specification has four states for the LSM. All states are
reported to the far end. The "Not In Group" state is defined when the
link is not configured within an IMA group.

Let us assume that there is an IMA group configured on both ends with
two E1 links each. Assume that a third link is added on one side.
    My question is:
How would the IMA LSM of the corresponding third E1 link on the other
side respond with an ICP cell and set the "Not In Group" field in the
"Link Information" field if it not configured to be part of the IMA
Group? Could someone clarify how a protocol specific message
(i.e. an OAM ICP cell) is sent if the link is not even configured for IMA.

    Thanks in advance,
    Joy
