I'm using OE for email and my ISP is wanadoo, is the anyway I can block this
    ass from spamming me?

I sent an email to wanadoo and they said there's nothing they can do and
less it's another member of wanadoo spamming me, useful bunch of dick in
they. Is there any program I can use to filter out the emails before I
    receive them in OE?

    Cheers

It's ok now, they didn't tell me what to do in OE.

Tools, Message Rules, Blocked Sender List.

But he will probably change his email address with every different spam
    anyway.

Yep, in OE's rules you can. However, even better is to download the free to
use Mailwasher and set it up and let IT deal with it. You can have the spam
auto sent back by that program.

Someone else in another NG said Spamspade is handy to trace his isp, so I
    can report the ignoramus.

They are among the worst for spam control.
One thing you need to learn is this is not who is sending the spam, the return
    address is always faked.
You need to post the 'routing slip' for the email and I can tell you where the
    spam came from.
That's crap, they WON'T do anything.
Vote with your wallet and move to a different provider.

  9. I use Freeserve/Wanadoo and since they have introduced their spam control
facility it has reduced my spam dramatically, to almost none existent.
Simply log on to "Check your email" on the Wanadoo home page. You can then
select a box to cut out the spam. You can even view your daily spam if
necessary, which, if unattended will be deleted automatically after 7 days.
The following message is from Wanadoo.
    ----------------------------------------------------------

Our intelligent anti-spam service identifies and tags spam emails that are
sent to your email address. Occasionally, an untagged spam email may get
into your inbox. Often, this is because the people responsible for sending
spam are constantly changing tactics in order to avoid being caught by anti
    spam services.

You can now help us combat spam by reporting spam emails you receive that
haven't been identified or tagged by our spam filters. Simply select the
unidentified spam email in your inbox and click on the new "Spam" button.
The email will then be sent to our anti-spam team, who will feed it into our
system's filters which will help them recognise and tag spam emails more
    accurately.

    Report accidentally tagged spam

Occasionally our spam filters may mistake a genuine email for spam and tag
it. If we have tagged a genuine message to you, you can now report this by
selecting the tagged email and clicking on the new "Not Spam" button. The
email will then be sent to our anti-spam team, who will review and use it to
    train our system's filters.

John, These are wanadoos exact words:

"We must point out that we can only take action against other Wanadoo
members. Emails sent by users of other Internet Service Providers are
outside our control and must be reported to the abuse department of the ISP
    concerned"

And less it's another wanadoo member spamming me there's nothing they can
do. I've added a few message rules in OE now anyway.

Some of the time - the small amount mind you - yes it is. Most of the time
that is dead wrong. People who KNOW how to spam know how to hide their
tracks and by far they are the majority.

I've added a few message rules to OE now anyway, so if a receive an email
with the words i.e. Viagra, Sex, xxx etc. they will be deleted straight
    away.

Right and when you get them with v1agra and s3x will that delete them too?
Download mailwasher from www.mailwasher.net and let it do the lot for you!

Besides, if you are online with Preview Pane active when you click on a spam
to delete it, the spam "phones home" to tell the spammer to send you more
    spam most of the time.

You've always got something to add haven't you. As soon as the spam is
received even before it goes to my inbox it is deleted automatically.

.....ONLY if it matches the rules you have in OE and unfortunately for you,
they match those rules too rarely.

I have something to say because what you are doing is ineffective,
Mailwasher is free, it never gets to your inbox and there is no chance of
the next Windows weakness to be found causing you problems there.

However, doubt common sense all you like.

Its very easy in OE to catch all the spam...with just one filter.
