Im looking at buying a new system, but am torn between the stuff i
know ie the AMD AthlonXP (probably a 2600+) or the new AMD Sempron
(3100)- any light that someone could throw on this? Ive never used a
sempron before so dont no how they compare.

Any one got any ideas, views or info they can give me?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dalgibbard.

i'm not sure, but i believe the sempron is an athlon 64 with the 64 bit part
    removed, and lower clock speeds.
An athlon XP 2600 is probably comparible to a sempron 3100
    Good luck
