After installing WIN 2000 on a Presario - CD R/W problem

    When installing WIN 2000 on my Compaq Presario I (of course) lost my CD R/W
    software. The Compaq/HP web site are not wery informative and I wonder if I
    really need to buy commercial software like Easy CD Creator. (That was the
    software that was pre-installed when I bought the PC)


    Any ideas on how to get a CD R/W software? (I don´t like the idea of paying
    money for software I have already paid for.)

    It is a Compaq Presario 5726. However, I guess the problem isn´t directly
    attached to a specific Presario??

    Have you checked their site for machine specific software updates/drivers?

    Compaq and HP have joined forces, and actually the HP burning software is
    quite good! (Record Now)
